Lighting: LED & Candles

What are LED candles?

LED candles are a modern alternative to real wax candles. They imitate candlelight in a safe and energy-efficient way.

What do I save with LED candles?

LED candles are a cost-effective alternative to tea lights that pay for themselves quickly. Calculate your personal savings potential if you use the LED sets instead of tea lights (incl. purchase costs). For this purpose, we provide you with an LED calculator on this page.

Why should I buy LED candles?

The advantages of LED candles are obvious: they are energy-efficient, offer safe operation and can hardly be distinguished from real wax candles due to the flickering typical of candles. Another advantage is the practical and time-saving handling, because they can be switched on simply by pressing a button or timer.

What LED holders are available?

Our holders are specially designed for our range of LED lamps. We have a variety of different LED holders in our portfolio - both for indoor and outdoor use. You can decide for yourself whether you prefer more indirect light or direct light. Take a look around here.

Which color variants can I set?

Duni Mini Lamps have a wide color spectrum. Almost all colors of the rainbow provide great lighting mood. From red to green, yellow, blue, orange, pink and classic white. Choose one of 12 colors and make not only the eyes of your guests shine.

Our set LED plug prepare you in the color Warm White or in Multicolor a luminous pleasure.

Our LED Moving Flame set features a candle-like flickering flame and a beautiful warm white color.

How long does an LED lamp last?

The service life of a Duni LED lamp can vary depending on the model and use. In general, however, Duni LED lamps are known and appreciated for their long service life. This long life is due to the energy-efficient nature of LED technology, which generates less heat and consumes less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs. In addition, Duni LED bulbs are made from high quality materials and are designed to withstand regular use and wear and tear in the catering industry, providing reliable and long-lasting performance.

How do I dispose of an LED candle?

LED illuminants are fortunately very durable. Despite their long service life, LEDs may eventually cease to function or lose their functionality due to damage. Unserviceable LEDs should not be disposed of with the usual household waste, but should be taken to a suitable collection point for electronic waste.

Are Duni candles self-extinguishing?

Yes, Duni candles are self-extinguishing. This means that the flame extinguishes itself once it reaches a certain point, without the need for external intervention. This is a safety feature that prevents the candle from burning too long and potentially causing a fire. Duni candles are made from high quality materials and are designed to burn evenly and cleanly without producing smoke or soot. This makes them suitable for any occasion and any environment. Whether you want to create a romantic ambience at home or decorate a special gastronomic event.

Are Duni LEDs battery powered?

No, they contain a rechargeable battery, so no batteries need to be changed cumbersome with our LEDs. Instead, simply charge the lights using the charging station.

Can I get a replacement remote control for the LED candles?

You have misplaced or lost your remote control for controlling the LEDs? This does not mean that your lamps become unusable. Here you can get a replacement remote control.

Which products should not be missing on a set table?

A set table consists of so much more than just cutlery and plates. For a special feel-good mood and depending on the occasion, napkins, lighting, tablecloth or placemats should not be missing.

What is the advantage of disposable napkins and table runners?

Disposable napkins and table runners score points for a variety of advantages:

- After use, they are disposed of, eliminating the need to wash and iron linens. This saves time, money and personnel.
- they come in countless colors and designs, so they can always be decorated to match the exact occasion, season or time of year
- they can be quickly covered and uncovered without the need for tedious smoothing and pulling
- they can be printed individually and are a cost-effective advertising medium
- they are particularly hygienic thanks to their single use. paper products are smooth and have no pores, which prevents germs and bacteria from sticking to them
- with disposable tablecloth products, even large events can be easily covered, as they are also inexpensive in large quantities
- when not in use, they can be stored in a space-saving way
- paper tablecloths and napkins are usually cheaper than fabric products
- if you choose napkins made from renewable raw materials and look out for seals such as FSC, the environment will also be happy.

Cutlery and napkin bags are the epitome of practical and hygienic table decoration and true quick-change artists. In a way, they have a 2-in-1 function. On the one hand, they offer space for fork, knife, spoon and on the other hand, when unfolded, they function as a mouth wiper.

Does Duni have products in the range that make setting the table easier?

We do everything we can to help caterers shorten their handling times and make them more time-efficient. This is helped, for example, by cutlery and napkin pockets or LED lamps that can be switched on at the touch of a button. Placemats also protect against soiling and are quickly set and changed.

Are Duni napkins sustainable?

Yes, our Duni napkins are sustainable because they are made from environmentally friendly materials. They are made from FSC certified pulp, which means that wood used to make the napkins comes from responsibly managed forests. In addition, the napkins are compostable, which means that they can be naturally degraded. Overall, Duni napkins are a great choice for anyone looking for a sustainable option for their tableware.

Packaging & To Go

What is disposable tableware and why should I use it at all?

Disposable tableware is - as the name suggests - tableware that is designed for single use. After use, forks, knives, plates and the like are disposed of and not washed. Disposable tableware has become indispensable, especially in the takeaway and to-go sectors.

How can I recognize sustainable disposable tableware & cutlery?

To identify sustainable disposable tableware, you should look at a few important things. First, pay attention to the material. Sustainable products are often made from renewable resources like bamboo, sugar cane or plant-based plastics. Look for certifications like those from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) to ensure the product is truly sustainable. Also, look for additional eco-friendly features like compostability or recyclability. Finally, pay attention to the production process: Sustainable products often have a lower carbon footprint and use less water and energy. By considering these factors, you can choose disposable tableware that is both practical and environmentally friendly.

Which disposable tableware has been banned since 2021? What alternatives are there?

On July 3, 2021, the single-use plastic regulation came into force and many take-away items have been banned since then. However, this does not mean the end of disposable tableware. After all, there are definitely sustainable and resource-saving alternatives: Bagasse made from sugar cane, wood and bamboo, or even paper.

What material is BioPak cutlery series made of?

You are spoiled for choice: you can choose between disposable cutlery made of wood (birch wood) or paper fiber.

Why should you seal food?

Sealing offers multiple benefits in the foodservice industry. It keeps food fresh longer, preserves flavor and prevents food waste.

For whom is a sealing machine suitable?

Sealing is designed to prepare and package food hygienically. Sealing equipment is of interest to businesses that sell food directly or deliver it and want to ensure leak-proofness during transport.

Food service operations that offer take-out or delivery of food benefit from leak-proof packaging with sealed menu trays.

In the self-service sector, products covered with transparent sealing film allow the freshness and attractive presentation to catch the eye.

The system is perfect for use in commercial kitchens. Sealing makes your operations easier, whether you are delivering large quantities of delicatessen to the catering industry, organizing catering or delivering lunches to kindergartens, schools or companies.

What are the advantages of sealing food?

Sealing food has many benefits, including extending the shelf life of food and preventing rapid spoilage. Sealing food can also help preserve the taste, texture and nutritional value of the food. In addition, sealing food in vacuum-sealed bags or containers can also help save space during storage and make transportation easier. Overall, sealing food is an effective way to preserve it and ensure that it remains fresh and edible for a longer period of time.

Does BioPak Pluma disposable cutlery taste woody or rough on the tongue?

Good news for those with sensitive palates: BioPak Pluma disposable cutlery does not taste woody or feel rough on the tongue. The cutlery series is designed not to affect the taste and aroma of your food. That's why we named the product "Pluma," which derives from the Latin word for "feather" and pays homage to the feathery mouthfeel.

What is the advantage of paper fiber cutlery over plastic cutlery?

Although both types of cutlery are designed for single use, paper fiber cutlery (along with wooden cutlery) is an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic cutlery. Not only is it made from renewable resources, but it degrades much faster than plastic cutlery. In fact, paper fiber cutlery can be composted, which reduces waste and contributes to a circular economy (please note local disposal conditions).

The example of Germany shows how important sustainable disposable cutlery alternatives are. There, the legal situation is such that plastic cutlery has been completely withdrawn from circulation as part of the single-use plastic ban ordinance. For German restaurateurs and consumers, a switch to disposable cutlery made of wood or paper is therefore inevitable.

In general, paper cutlery is less prone to breakage and splintering than plastic cutlery and is therefore safer to use. The BioPak cutlery series "Pluma" was produced with the clear goal of protecting the environment while providing a great dining experience.

Is paper fiber cutlery unstable?

Of course, the disposable paper fiber cutlery is not as heavy, hard and durable as reusable metal cutlery, but in terms of stability you will be surprised. Our Pluma series is designed to skewer or cut even harder foods with ease. Generally speaking, paper fiber cutlery is not as prone to breaking or splintering as plastic or wooden cutlery, for example. Over time and with prolonged use of liquid foods, the paper will soften and become more elastic, but paper fiber cutlery will withstand a delicious snacking experience without issue.

Is there environmentally friendly disposable cutlery?

The clear answer is: Yes! Disposable cutlery is better than its reputation - especially when knives, forks and the like are made of renewable and biodegradable materials such as bamboo, paper or wood. These materials decompose naturally in the environment.
